Since the past, the settlements have been built by the banks of the river. River have been of their daily usage. If there was no river we won’t even exist. The friendship or we can say the dependency  between river and living beings is there from its origin. The people of old time could not think a single day without river. From cultivating to searching for food, people were totally depended upon river. 10.Brahmaputra –

The list opens with the river Brahmaputra keeping it 10th longest river in Asia. It flows through China , India and Bangladesh. It has its origin in the Angsi glacier, located on the northern side of the Himalayas in Burang County of Tibet as the Yarlung Tsangpo River, it flows across southern Tibet to break through the Himalayas in great gorges (including the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon) and into Arunachal Pradesh. This river is an important source of transportation.

Originating at the confluence of Katun and Biya rivers which are located 25 km south-west of Biysk and Altai krai, the river runs a course through  Russia, though its tributaries extend into Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia to merge into the Arctic ocean. The Ob provides irrigation, drinking water, hydroelectric energy, and fishing. The river hosts more than 50 species of fish. The annual water discharge is equal to 12,375 cu-m/s. The source of the river is Mungaragiyn-gol , which is located to the ridge of Dod-Taygasyn-Noor, Mongolia. The river flows through Tuva, Khakassia,  and the city of Krasnoyarsk and merges into the arctic ocean.Its tributaries include the Angara, Nizhnyaya Tunguska, Podkamennaya Tunguska, and Tuba rivers. The maximum depth of the Yenisei is 24 metres. The annual water discharge is equal to 19,600 cu-m/s.

The main source of this river is Baikal mountains,located 7 km west of lake baikal. At the end of the Lena River there is a large delta that extends 100 kilometres.The annual water discharge is equal to 16,871 cu-m/s.

The annual average water discharge is equal to 16,000 cu-m/s.

Originating in the Bayan Har Mountains in Qinghai province of western China, it flows through nine provinces, and it empties into the Bohai Sea near the city of Dongying in Shandong province. It’s annual average water discharge is equal to 30,166 cu-m/s making it the sixth-largest river by discharge volume in the world.
